things are not me

if i fell through the roof
i wont end up any lower
then i am now.
father one favor.
protect these things,
they are me.

the water of your weather,
has worn through, washing away,
even that which was born to you.

you may claim,
what you have raised to this roof,
but don't claim,
that you ever raised me.

these possessions offer you
no freedom,
you must only possess
the ability to let go,
to ever be free.

free me now,
these things are yours.
free me now,
these things are not me.
